Teknia acquires technology company Xpander

Madrid, 13 February 2024.- Teknia, a Spanish multinational specialising in the manufacture of metal and plastic components for mobility, has acquired Xpander, a Spanish company specialising in digital transformation consultancy, the sale of proprietary software and developments based on blockchain technology. With this acquisition, the Group seeks to strengthen its capabilities in digitisation and technological.
This acquisition will allow Teknia to fulfil one of the objectives set out in its strategic plan ‘Moving Teknia 2025‘, with which the company seeks to adapt to the new needs of the industry and increasingly increase its technological capabilities to become the preferred manufacturing partner for mobility solutions. Xpander’s experience will strengthen Teknia’s capabilities in industrial digitalisation, data analytics, cybersecurity, development of proprietary applications and even artificial intelligence.
Blockchain technology, key to making processes more efficient
Xpander, founded in 2021 as an extension of the industrial company KH Vives, will continue to provide its expertise as an external consultant to other clients in different sectors. Among its most prominent projects is the Alize platform, which uses blockchain technology to ensure the security and quality of process and supply chain data.
