Changes in the Presidency of the Board of Directors of Teknia

• Javier Lazpita retires as President of Teknia after more than 30 years boosting the Group’s growth

• A key person in the company’s history, Lazpita has been part of its management team since its foundation in 1992 and leaves a great legacy

• Javier Quesada Suescun, until now Honorary President, becomes interim President of the Group’s Board of Directors

Madrid, 25 February 2025.- Teknia, a multinational company specialising in the manufacture of metal and plastic components for mobility, has appointed Javier Quesada Suescun as interim the Board of Directors following the retirement of Javier Lazpita.

Lazpita occupied the presidency of the Board of Directors and has played a key role in the history of the Group, retiring after nearly three decades dedicated to the development and growth of Teknia. Since joining the company in 1992 as Head of Finance, Lazpita has played an essential role in the expansion, consolidation and professionalisation of Teknia’s governance, leaving a great legacy in the company.

During this time of transition both in the company and in the automotive industry, Javier Quesada Suescun, founder of Teknia and until now Group’s Honorary President, assumes the presidency of the Board of Directors temporarily.

A life dedicated to the automotive industry

Javier Lazpita dedicated his whole professional life to the automotive industry, working in various companies in the sector in the Basque Country before joining Teknia. He holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Deusto, and within Teknia he occupied key positions in executive management and on the Board of Directors, playing a key role in the professionalisation of the company’s governance.
