Teknia to acquire a new plant specialized in components for Electric Vehicle

  • The new plant has a workforce of 90 employees with €10M revenue.
  • With this new plant situated in Ampuero (Cantabria) Teknia totalizes 21 industrial facilities in the world.

The automotive components manufacturer Teknia has acquired Mecanizados Bravo & Bippus, located in Ampuero (Cantabria, Spain) that is largely experienced in manufacturing of Electrical Engine axis.

The new plant has a workforce of 90 employees and yearly sales of €10M. The plant was, since 1997, a Joint Venture between the Spanish company Bravo Entreprises and the German Paul Bippus GmbH.

The new Teknia plant is a turnery specialized in machining and assembling of steel and steel components for all kind of applications, including engines axis both for EVs and combustion engines. The new factory manufactures a wide array of turned and grinded parts.

The plant includes a wide variety of technologies with operations like milling, assembling, induction heat treatment, pressing and toothing.

This installation is the 21th in Teknia’s footprint and the second of Teknia in Ampuero (Cantabria). The plant is located next to the installation that was acquired in 2018 to Bravo Entreprises.

This acquisition is a step forward in the Teknia’s strategy towards Electric mobility accompanying its clients by adding new products and broadening Teknia’s capacities mechanizing bar in automotive industry. Teknia continues its strategy to acquire companies that increase long term value creation to the business.
