Aluminium Injection

High Pressure Die Casting (HPDC) is the process in which pre-melted aluminium is processed in a high-pressure die casting machine. This injection process is carried out at high temperatures, which can reach up to 1000 ºC, depending on the type of alloy used, introducing the material into a mould with the desired shape.

Back

Aluminium injection is a technology present in vehicles that is gaining importance due to the need for manufacturers to reduce the weight of the cars. Teknia offers its customers various production processes and technologies related to aluminium: from casting and injection to machining.

After injection, the part is cleaned by removing the excess elements and adapting the surfaces before proceeding with the machining process. This process makes it possible to achieve the necessary and definitive shapes and tolerances required for the part.

Aluminium Components for Electric Vehicles

Teknia is in the process of adapting to new mobility trends. The company is positioning itself alongside the leading manufacturers of components for electric vehicles. Aluminium injection is becoming increasingly important in electric vehicles, meaning that Teknia is well-positioned to grow with this technology as the market evolves.

In line with its commitment to sustainability and its innovative vision, Teknia is immersed in the battery market in Europe and in the market for components such as converters, inverters and ‘On Board Chargers’. All these products are manufactured using high-pressure aluminium injection technology.
