The installations, which have been carried out in Pedrola, Santander and Ampuero, are part of Teknia&#8217;s responsible self-consumption project.\u00a0 This project guarantees 69% of electricity from renewable sources for these plants.<\/p>\n<p>This project joins the energy contracts with Guarantees of Renewable Origin (GdO) that the company already has with Endesa and Engie. Both actions bring Teknia closer to its CO2 emission reduction targets. This includes guaranteeing renewable energy consumption in at least 50% of its plants by 2025.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Forthcoming installations<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Along with the factories in Pedrola, Santander and Ampuero, the next plants to install panels will be those in Elorrio, Oradea and Tangiers, achieving a 12% saving in electricity consumption from the grid in these facilities.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Teknia&#8217;s commitment to green energy<\/strong><\/p>\n<table style=\"text-align: center;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><strong style=\"font-size: 24px;\">17,6%<\/strong> reduction in carbon footprint for every euro produced<\/td>\n<td>Nearly <strong style=\"font-size: 24px;\">70%<\/strong> of the electricity consumed in panel plants comes from renewable sources<\/td>\n<td>Up to <strong style=\"font-size: 24px;\">12%<\/strong> saving in grid electricity consumption of solar panel plants<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p><strong>Teknia and the fight against climate change: decarbonisation roadmap<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For more than a decade, Teknia has been involved in the fight against climate change through diverse actions, including the accurate measurement of its CO2 emissions. To this end, the company has developed a Decarbonisation Plan that aims to reduce the ratio of CO2 emissions per production value by 14% over the next two years.
