Teknia appoints Javier Quesada Suescun as Honorary President

Madrid, January 3rd 2024.- Teknia, a Spanish multinational specialising in the manufacture of metal and plastic components for mobility, has appointed Javier Quesada Suescun as honorary president of the company. The appointment has been ratified by Group’s Board of Directors.

Javier Quesada Suescun is the founder of Teknia and headed the company for 30 years. In 2020 he decided to step back from the front line after a lifetime dedicated to the industry and to Teknia, a company he created in 1992 with the acquisition of a small automotive workshop in the Biscayan town of Zaldibar (Basque Country).

The Honorary President drove Teknia to position it among the Spanish multinationals specialised in the manufacture of metal and plastic components for the automotive industry. Thanks to its international vision and its commercial and customer service capabilities, the company became a trusted manufacturing partner for its customers in the 13 countries where it is present. Teknia currently has 23 manufacturing plants in the five main vehicle technologies and employs more than 3,500 people worldwide.

In this new stage, Teknia seeks to be supported by a key figure in its history, with extensive experience in the management and development of the company and a highly valuable knowledge of the sector for the Group. Thus, among the main functions of the new Honorary President will be to advise and guide the Board of Directors in strategic matters and good corporate governance, to represent the company at institutional level in activities that require it and to be one of the main promoters of the values and principles that have been fundamental in Teknia’s culture.
